There’s something about reading kids’ books. You realise they’re a lot funnier than you thought they could be! Edith Nesbit sounded like she was talking to adult children who were more sensible than adults. I don’t know whether to read books like these as a kid or not. I guess I will!

Sunday, April 15th, 2012Hello
Friday, April 13th, 2012Hello! This is a special post for Graceeeeeeee and Ollie!
Hello two of you! How have you been? In the past two weeks I’ve been on holiday away from Lausanne, and I’ve been learning many lessons about praying to God and trusting in Him.
About two weeks ago I was in Paris. Paris is a really lovely but crazy-crowded city. I was flying back on Monday evening, so I got on the train with my luggage and everything toward the airport. Everything was going smoothly! Until I reached the airport. The moment I reached I checked the departure board to locate my gate. And there on the screen, next to my flight number, was the word, in bright red, ANNULE (which means cancelled in French). Checked the rest of the screen — NO OTHER FLIGHTS BACK TO GENEVA. By this time I was feeling a little bit annoyed knowing that I had to change my plans and find another way back. So I decided to go back to central Paris to meet the friends that I had been travelling with (who were taking a train back to London that night). So I hopped on the train again, with my luggage and tired body, and went to Paris.
As I stood before the opera house (it’s a really famous building, by the way, and historical and cool) I was going through all the feelings that I had at that moment. I was very tired, feeling a bit uncomfortable, and with the crowds of people brushing by I also felt very little and lost. Here I knew I only had one thing to do – to pray, to spend time with God and to ask Him to help me with the awful feelings I felt. I guess it’s good that my friends didn’t arrive so early – I had such a wonderful pocket of time to be alone (in the noisy crowds) with God and to talk to Him and tell Him how I felt. He gave me peace in my heart and I knew that everything would be OK. And it was. Not just because my friends arrived and we had a good time together. Not just because we went to London after that, and I really enjoyed being there with all the museums and good food. Not just because I got to catch up with friends and spend time with them. It’s these things, but also, everything is more than alright because I’ve got God as my Father – He helps me when I’m troubled, and He cares for me.
He’s also given me little sisters like two of you to be friends with and to care for.
Just wanted to share that little reminder that God listens to our little prayers – so no matter how much homework or tests you have… You can always call on God
You don’t have to be afraid of talking to Him (that means no need to ummmm hmmmm errrrrrrrr mmmm), He knows how you’re feeling and what tests you’re going through and He’ll be listening very patiently and lovingly!
“So, as much as is in me…”

So Much Love!

Bumped into Rachel (from church) at the supermarket… Made new friends at the picnic by the lake, and had a nice relaxxxxxxing time with Rachel (flatmate) and Anna at home! Woo
Friday: More love – Dinner at Megan’s with multi-lingual communication, heheh. Pardon the bad photo! Best part of the day was having a looooong, meaningful conversation with Xinxin and Min Ju.
Saturday: Xin Xin came over for lunch!
Sunday: Sunny Sunday… Beautiful morning out, and at church! Lunch at the Singaporean-Malaysian restaurant with Daniel, Marcus, and Xin Xin! YUUUUUM.
I’m not going to say very much cos I have to get back to work… See you soon!
